I came across this while I was investigating South African Jazz, ‘cos they are so many complications of North European jazz, American Jazz, Spiritual Norwegian Christian Jazz and so many permutations of jazz that I thought there must be some African Jazz. So I  set my start point at Hugh Masekela trumpet and I went on a journey through Sathima Bea Benjamin (who is not only brilliant in her own right but bore JEAN GRAE! My favourite rapper ever) all the way to Moses Taiwa Molelekwa and this mix.

To many February is  J Dilla and Donuts month but a whole swathe of people in the southern hemisphere mourn the loss of this young musician, Mma Tseleng is one of those people and he has made this mix in remembrance.

I hope you enjoy it as much as I have all week, I have listened to it at least once a day every day since Sunday and it has soothed me.
